KURT EHLER, RYT


Kurt began practicing  in 2005 and comes to yoga with a 20+ year background in martial arts.  He sees many parallels between the martial arts and yoga.  Central to both is the concept of linking the mind and body with the breath.  Primary Series/vinyasa and kata (pre-set karate sequences) are both forms of "moving meditation", training you to turn off the mind-chatter and have a single pointed focus.  Though asana is an excellent tool for physical health, Kurt believes it is also a vehicle for spiritual growth.

Kurt has attended workshops/teacher training with David Swenson, Govinda Kai, Simon Park, Mimi Loureiro, Beth Berkeley and Maureen Miller.  He completed the hours required for his RYT at Living Yoga’s Teacher Training in September 08.
