Lindsay
has been teaching yoga throughout the Concord community since 2004.
Her classes offer an opportunity to move through flow sequences that
are dynamic and fun, while also focusing on developing a greater
awareness and understanding of the structure and alignment of the
body within each movement. Through this understanding of the body,
one begins to observe all of it’s components, including the breath
and the many patterns of the mind.
At age four, Lindsay
began practicing dance and gymnastics and continued to devote hours
every week to her love of dance and gymnastics throughout her
childhood and young adulthood. After graduating high school, Lindsay
began searching for something deeper to fulfill her love of movement
and expression of the body. Lindsay walked into a yoga class in 1998
in Santa Cruz, CA and never turned back. Yoga allowed an opportunity
to move and express the body but went further by fostering an
awareness and connection of the body to the mind by using the
breath. Lindsay began a dedicated yoga practice in 1998 with Sensei
Jeremy Corbell, creator of Warrior Yoga, Yoga for the Martial
Athlete and president of the Quantum Jujitsu Foundation in Santa
Cruz, CA. Upon returning to the East coast, Lindsay continued a
committed yoga practice at O2 Yoga in Rye, NH and completed teacher
trainings with Mimi Loureiro, owner/creator of O2 Yoga in
Portsmouth, NH, Somerville and Boston, MA. Lindsay also practices
karmic yoga through her work as a licensed social worker, counseling
primarily adolescents and spends her free time with her family,
learning from her 7- month old son how to be present within each
moment. Lindsay is grateful to have had the opportunity to practice
and train with many inspiring teachers. Her primary influences have
been Sensei Jeremy Corbell, Mimi Loureiro and most recently Cora Wen.
Lindsay feels eternally grateful for every class she is able to
teach and every student she is able to connect with. Teaching yoga
is a gift to be treasured.
